FoxNews.com’s Twitter feed for political news, @FoxNewspolitics, was hacked on the early monday morning of 4th of July 2011, on the American Independence Day.

False Tweets sent out via @Foxnewspolitics by Hackers

The hackers sent out several malicious and false tweets claiming that the US President Barack Obama had been assassinated. They also sent out best wishes to @JoeBiden as the New President of United States.

Fox news confirmed the hacking and alerted the U.S. Secret Service, who will investigate and do “appropriate follow up”.

The tweets have been now removed from the feed.
