Lady Gaga Hits 10 Million Twitter Followers

Lady Gaga ( @ladygaga ) is the first tweep ( twitter user) with over 10 million ( 1 crore) followers on Twitter.  The second and third on the race are the Teen singing sensatation Justin Bieber ( @justinbieber ) ( 9.69M) and U.S. President  Barack Obama (@BarackObama) (8.04M) .

The American pop singer,  Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta , better known by her stage name Lady Gaga celebrated this twitter milestone with a tweet saying: “10 Million Monsters! I’m speechless, we did it! Its an illness how I love you. Leaving London smiling.” and shared an image via twitpic.

The social media star was also the first person to hit 10 million fans on Facebook, as well as 1 billion views on YouTube. Lady Gaga, although joined twitter on 26 March 2008 , has only 745+ tweets ( twitter updates) till date . Compared to this, some of the other top 10 ten celebrities on twitter are very active – Justin Bieber ( @justinbieber  - 9,089 tweets) ,  Kim Kardashian ( @KimKardashian -7,584tweets)
Ashton Kutcher (@aplusk – 6,700tweets).
